what Sat Nav?

Having used the Turbodog stuff on the Navigo its not damn good its rubbish.

Why buy the Navigo and then spend another 60 or so pounds on putting TomTom on it? You can buy a TomTom one for just over 100 which runs a newer version of the TomTom than is available on the on PDAs

I didn't say I was going to, this is just what I heard. Also, Ive yet to see a bad review of it. It may not have some of the advanced features of other sat navs but for the price, its ideal for what I want. Just a simple sat nav. I rarely have a need for one, but occasionally I must admit Ive found myself in situation where they would be handy so I bought one.

Just got home from a trip to the gym using the Navigo which arrived a couple of hours ago. First impressions; it's not that bad. Clear instructions, decent screen, simple and smart. Some of the maps are a little out of date in palces, but theres a huge amount of road works and road changes going on in my area at the moment, so it's no surprise. The way it handles roundabouts is nifty as well; as you approach it brings up a full screen view of the roundabout detailing which exit to take.

Minor criticism; I went past a few small residential streets on my route which didnt appear to show up. Not sure whether I was zoomed out too far, but it could be an issue. After all, its navigating straight to your door that sat navs are most useful for. Overall though, seems a good little unit for the price.

Standard software. I may look into putting other software on, but for me it's jsut not worth it at the moment. I literally just bought it bceause it was cheap and occasionally I have found myself in situations where having a sat nav would have been handy, so I'll just keep it in case that need should ever arise again. I paid £64.
