What sort of relationship are you in?

Arguing as a couple is natural.

You don't argue with your friends as much as your family (generally). This is because you know your family is always going to be there for you and you can afford to be more anal and irritated at their actions. The same attitude with friends and they may just not decide to be your friend anymore.

With a long term partner, you are somehwere inbetween. You argue because you know that at the end of the day you are still going to be there for each other.

Saying that, I havn't really argued in any of my relationships.

So your personality is such that you think you are always correct/always get your own way even if that means arguing with someone you care about?

You're not getting it. When I care about someone and there's a misunderstanding (i.e. I think they're being nasty) I think "Hang on, surely they (being someone I care about) should never even think about saying that sort of thing". If it were passing comments from mates I'd probably just brush it off, people I really care about should be more considerate therefore small misunderstandings can compound in to arguments. Pretty much all the arguments I have with my girlfriend are like that.

I resent your implication that I am the sort of person that always needs to be right, that couldn't be further from the truth.

Oh. So you argue all the time about your girlfriend being nasty to you?

No, I was merely using that as an example. It's almost always small misunderstandings that grow.

I've been seeing my girlfriend for just over a year and 5 months. We've had about 3 arguments and all were the result of alcohol :x

Broke up with the gf last Saturday so single, and got with a new girl yesterday....

Does that make me a whore?

no. whore would be sleeping with wife, getting up and going to your mistresses, then leaving hers for the evening which you would be spending with your girlfriend, only to go home to wife for the night!

I am very tempted to get with this other girl as well, oh and this other girl (but she lives a fair distance away), oh I need to grow up and behave....
