what temerayure sensors can be trusted

my asus temperature senso is saying 31c
HWM is saying 25c
i knw theres not tha much of a diff but i just wantd to knw which one i should look at when overclocking ???

Are you talking about the separate display thing you get with Asus mobos? Mine seems to underplay cpu temp compared to say Realtemp. I personally think this is a sensor embedded in the socket rather than reading it from the cpu, which I guess is what Realtemp is displaying. Don't know why yours is reading higher though, unless HWM is getting your mobo sensors mixed up.

real temp is only good for intel (bugger)

anybody know of a good amd x6 one all the ones i tried read the same as core temp which is 12'C low apart from hwinfo32 monitor but that crashes WMP on mine

Ai suite shows Overall cpu temp (same as bios), which is totally different to the core temps.

Use core temp for core readings, and go by that, if its an intel chip that is.

Use CPUID HWMonitor.

The CPU sensor on the motherboard is what you want to look at for temperatures on an AMD chip, NOT the individual core temperatures.

Its not useless, just many don't understand it shows Overall cpu temp, and not core temps.

So it all depends on what cpu he is using, if he wants to go by overal cpu temp, or by core temps, each person is different.

no i understand that theres core temps and cpu temp buh right now the ai sute is saying cpu 37c and HWM is saying cpu 31. my core temp on core 0 is 19c
i was just hoping sum 1 could tell me which 1 i should use.
i have a amd 1090t at stock with stock cooler (im saving up for water cooling)

Reboot, go into the bios and check the hardware monitoring section, note what the cpu temp is in there, and which ever is closest to the figure will be the correct one to use.
