what temp for c2d ?

My E6300 @ 3.15Ghz sits at 30 C on idle and goes up to about 50 C under full load.
That a good result! :)

It's debatable what *Full Load* actually is though?

I notice that no applications or games I use do not heat up the CPU core like Orthos or TAT, the latter being particularly good at heating a core! :eek:

My mate has a similar setup to me but he's using an E6400/3200MHz and he gets about 28°C-Idle and 48°C-Load.

I think I am always aiming now to keep the chip under 60°C, anything less is a bonus :cool:

P.S: this is just dual-core, I shudder to think what its like keeping a quad cool lol :D
 
I loaded it with TAT, temps are from that and Everest reads the same too.

Your mate it getting some good temps too.

I'd like to try quad but Im gonna wait a while and see what happens as I have enough speed at the moment and I rarely play games and when I do its only Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield, hardly testing for this system lol. :)
