the kellogs rice crispie ad where there are kids using twigs in different ways is starting to bug me.

"it's a light saber" - ok i get that.

"it's a poo stick" - it's a what??? what the hell is a poo stick?

maybe i'm just mis-hearing the kid. someone enlighten me.

ok it's from Winnie the Pooh.

The characters used to stand on one side of a bridge over a river and drop a twig each into the water then race to the other side of the bridge to see which one came through first. The one that did was the winnah.

And that's Pooh Sticks! :D

Heh I actually think the same thing whenever I see it :p

Guessing some poo flicking stick?! Dirty kid.

What a sad world we live in when people have to actually ask what "Pooh Sticks" are.
*Sigh*
Consoles, computers and television have got a lot to answer for.
I spent the majority of my childhood outisde, up to my knees in mud and yes, playing Pooh Sticks if I ever had the opportunity.

I think I'm going to make sure my kids try and have as much of an outdoor childhood as I possibly can.
