I would go see a doctor, when I saw the first photo with the red circular rash I thought ringworm but the second photo with bump and peeling skin looks completely different.

You said you've had it multiple times is it appearing in the same place? if so I'd definitely get it checked out.

OP, are you alive?

Can confirm, alive.

I've had it 3 times, once on one arm, twice on the other (forearm and bicep). Although the other two are nowhere near as bad and didn't have the red ring around them.

I really don't think it's anything other than a bite, I was merely wondering what it might be that's biting me. We did a complete clean of the bed last weekend and it hasn't happened since so fingers crossed, but if it happens again then I may just consider a visit to the GP

2nd pic in the OP looks like a boil in its later stages (once popped)
red lump in the morning, itchy by evening is classic flea bite though tbh, i know you say you have no pets but that doesnt mean some fleas havnt got in!

Don't want to worry you, but the red ring could possibly be a sign of Lyme Disease infected tic bite. Have you been anywhere forested, long grass, that type of thing? A repeated bite over a couple of nights could well have been a tic or two that were picked up in your clothes and inadvertently transferred to your bedding. Lyme Disease is particularly horrible and difficult to get rid if not treated properly in the early stages. Just ask Kathleen Hannah.

We need a poll:

* Bed bugs
* Bees?
* Horseflys
* Mosquito
* Midgies
* Beads!
* Vampires
* Spiders
* Hatchlings

No queen wasp?

I haven't, the closest to it was in early September I went paintballing. But the last 3-4 weeks I've been out the house a handful of times, usually to Tesco as we've just had a baby.

But reading about it online, the inner hypochondriac is freaking out right now
