What thread size is the underside bolt for a Logitech shifter

Nothing wrong with monocles, I have a pal who used to wear one and it got him more totty than you would ever imagine ;) A fantastic conversation starter. He got it from an opticians called Wheeldons. He went in and said he wanted a monocle. They told him they hadn't sold one in thirty odd years and couldn't help. He pointed out that a dummy head in the window display was wearing one and managed to blag it off them for a couple of quid. Probably to get rid of him, he's Mr. Persistence.

Did he get the optician though? That would've been a proper move :D

<LOL> It would indeed, but I think he just got the monocle ;) I was trying to remember the name of the TV astronomer who was the last chap I recall regularly wearing one, but had to Google (age is terrible....) Patrick Moore...

As eccentrics go he was a genuine article.

Now, I might have the wrong bloke, (age again), but I recall someone telling me Patrick hit financial difficulties and was about to lose his beloved modest home, but some famous pop star or celebrity that knew him and loved his eccentricity and quiet gentlemanly demeanour, discretely went along and bunged enough money in his account to end his worries. I don't recall who the celeb was now, but what a nice move.

This one https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4074160 ? If so just grab the stl and import into windows 3D builder and use the ruler tool.

I have an old G25 - the shifter has a plastic 'bolt' that looks similar, just measured it with a ruler - 16mm diameter so could say M16 - 6mm pitch for the threads tho so any standard coarse or fine bolt wil be no use! the threads don't go to a point like a normal bolt either...

Looks like the right doodah thingy but I don't have a 3D printer. Thank tou.

Thank you for going to that trouble.
Non standard then. Nice to know I won't be wasting my time on getting the M12/M14 doofers.
Much appreciated.
Thank you.

Actually I also have the shifter. Tomorrow I’ll be able to measure it :D
Thank you Feek. I suspect you will confirm builder22s' findings that it is proprietary. Also Chris Wilsons suggestion. It'd be nice to have that confirmed though. Much appreciated.

P.s. Cant believe a simple question like this would have extended to so many posts. Who'da thunk it?

Thank you folks.

just to add...after downloading the stl and windows 3d builder as in hypersevens post it said 4.09 pitch - which is what it is and not the 6mm I said before (saturday night...)

what you could do is get a standard m14 mor 12 bolt with a nut on eitherside of the threaded part on the shifter to tighten/lock it in place...depending what fits.,

He has some Mitutoyo, they're the dogs ******** and probably don't change their zero every time you go back to the start like the amazon jobbies :D
They are really expensive though!!
They’re also gorgeous. I’ve got digital & standard, also a lovely Mitutoyo square set.

I’m a sucker for tools regardless so all the shinies for me!

We use Mitutoyo callipers at work, we have other ones but they seem to be the best, one set of digital 200mm ones have been around for as long as I can remember and are still solid.
They can be used as scribes but please be careful if doing this….an apprentice decided to try them on steel and broke the point off, it’s tiny but it sent our resident old bloke into a fit of rage lol.
