I would need to pick 2 or 3 adjacent options as our Cmas lunch tends to roll over for hours. Hand presents out at 11AM. Aperitifs with crisps/nuts/bombay mix etc at 12noon-1, starter at 2, main, cheese board, then afters + mince pies, finish off with coffee and cognac/whiskey etc. You're looking at 6PM by the time we finish.

we always aim to have it ready for about half one but with kids and other unforeseen random events its always near 2:30-3 when we all sit down

If I'm cooking, I do it to start at about 1-1.30. I don't understand why lunch gets eaten at the time northerners normally have their supper (ie 5pm) arbitrarily because it is Christmas. Unfortunately I am going to the in-laws for Christmas and will have to go along with their timing which is around 3pm or so. Dining no mans land.

I've got 2, so 12pm-1pm at the girlfriends, 5-6pm at my parents. But at my parents its usually 2pm-4pm

Kobi, how can you manage 2 Christmas meals on the same day?! The work's do in mid-December and Christmas Day meal back at my old folks is usually my fill for the festive season.

Same with Glen8 - full English, then Christmas meal and a curry later on...! Each to their own but there is no way I could manage that.

Bucks fizz & smoked salmon breakfast at 10:00 and the main Christmas meal at 14:00 (and a lot of booze) is enough for me for the day :-)

A friend of mine ate three christmas dinners the year before last in one sitting. He's like 70kg too. No idea where it went.

He had his own, mine because I wasn't very well and another persons who didn't show up.

"I don't want to see it waste". That old chestnut.

Aye, half portions! or 2/3rd's. It's a push, but it is christmas after all.

Tom0, i can understand that. Before i've had one at my parents, then my friends dads, then his mums and then back to his dads for left overs. But that was just gluttony. I remember almost being sick at his mums haha.

Haha ye, don't think my friend felt he should have had the third either.

The joys of hindsight is ironically the opposite sentiment to the sight of his hind the next morning, one would speculate.
