Oh young ideals :) I hope they work out.

Like you Tourmai, I think over the summer I will be applying to pretty much everything, I work in a bar so I should have some cash coming in to sort out some type of holiday near the end of summer :)

I think I'm going to go through the RAF selection and just see what I get offered at the end. If I have nothing concrete by novemberish, i'll be snowboarding in the new yr :D

I hope that we helped you out a bit mate

If you're on OASC in July (I think that's what you said on msn) you would've just missed a sift* for starting training in October, and as such the soonest you'd get on IOT would be January - and you would know if you were on that by Octoberish time.

*Sift - Most candidates that pass OASC get put through to the 'sift' this is where all candidates for a branch get put into a pile, and the best ones get put on the relevant IOT for that sift (the sift is usually 3 months before the IOT it is for) - if they need 5 Engineering officers, they will pick the best 5 off of the pile. However, if you do ridiculously well at OASC (rare) you can find out a couple of weeks after you've attended that you've been selected for IOT.

Well, I don't start until July, but I like to think I'm relatively well informed :p
