What to expect from a 7600gt??

7600GT pretty much equals a 6800GT / Ultra in raw speed performance however I think the 6800GT / Ultra can pull in front when you apply AA and AF due to their higher memory bandwidth.

But if you really want a 7900gt you will be slightly dissapointed with the 7600gt.

But yeah, get a 7900GT.
I got the mobo as a xmas present yr and a half ago and currently run two 6600gt's in sli.

but feel its time to upgrade so fancy one of the new cards... but ye whatever i end up getting i'l buy another one in the near future

I was wondering what the 7600 GT performed like... around a 6800 Ultra / X850 XT or there abouts?

Not badly priced but the 7800 GT it on offer atm and seems a good buy.

My vote to buy a 7900 GT too. You wont be disaapointed, im sure.

i just couldnt live with 12 pipes? its like sooo last year lol

i woulkdnt spend over 100 quid on a card with less than 20 pipe, no matter what the clockspeed!

Then you would be missing out on great bang for buck.Regardless of the pipes an the 128bit interface its faster than a 6800 Ultra so the pipes are not that important IMO.

not neccessarily, because the 7800GT is only a few quid more and is a much better card. bang for bukcs is good, but sometimes u have to spend more bucks to get more bangs
