What to expect from AMD on October 8th?

I suspect not much immediately as the new CPUs won’t be available for a little while due to release and supply. Then after Christmas period and some heavy discounting, I suspect things will look like below

3900x around £300-£320
3700x around £200-£220
3600x around £120-£150

the 3600 non x may well dip below £100 which makes it pretty awesome cheap CPU for cheap builds

This is what i'm interested to see also. Despite recently moving to a 3600 , a 3900x would be nicely future-proof

How long after the announcement can we usually expect the new CPU's to be available?

No one knows the actual launch date yet, I’d imagine it will be announced tomorrow as well.

The zen 3 cpus that will be announced today are “rumoured” to be available on 20th Oct.

When and where is keynote?

How to watch the AMD Zen 3 launch live
AMD has a page dedicated to the event that you can see here. The company also usually streams these events on its YouTube channel, so you'll be able to watch it there if you prefer.

The AMD Zen 3 event is set to take place 17:00 UK time, 18:00 CET, 10:00 PT.

At the event, you can expect to find out more about the Zen 3 architecture and the improvements the company will be offering in terms of performance, power and more. It's thought that the upcoming Ryzen 5000 series of processors will be based on this architecture and laptop processors will follow suit sometime next year.

I wonder if they'll let us pay an extra £150 over MRSP to join up with the big secret Santa they've got going with the Nvidia cards.

Nearly choked on my tea :D

Don't think I can afford to upgrade for a while now so shouldnt matter much. The 3600 is miles ahead of my old 2.8 quad core!

"Where gaming begins" - I like the tagline, makes me excited to see what they've come up with; feels like I've been waiting to upgrade for an age.
