What TV shows are you currently watching

Started watching 24, never seen it before and really enjoying it, so many seasons too only on the first so loads to go.

Recently finished Prison Break, it was almost like a guilty pleasure by the end of it but I enjoyed it dispite the cheese and how far fetched it was

it started well and once you have the investment in the characters, difficult to put it down, like the walking dead, too; successfully abandonned Doctor Who though, like junk food.

Jimmy Mcgoverns new series Time, last night, really kills other derivative beeb series' - line of duty, killing eve, .....
Stephen Graham/ Sean Bean great, definitely not glamorizing prison, characters feel real without OTT dramatization

I watched the War Of The Worlds series on Disney+ this last week, the one with Gabriel Byrne based across modern London/France.

A really strong start across the first 3/4 episodes then sort of meandered to a dull ending, I am really hoping for another season though, a quite unique take on the story.

Has anyone managed to finish the netflix Sons of Sam documentary? I was so excited for it but ended up being sorely disappointed and only made it to epsiode 3. Gutted because I usually love crime documentaries!!

Yes it’s incredibly disappointing and 90% of it is dull unfortunately. One of the worst crime documentaries I’ve seen in a while.

Noticed “Vietnam; The Lost Films” on Sky History and downloaded all six episodes.
I watched them over two days, some fascinating personal stories, including a guy who was reluctantly drafted, went over, made sergeant and was wounded while saving one of his platoon, he told of walking out of the airport on his return Stateside, feeling proud in his uniform, and being jeered and spat at by his countrymen.
A war correspondent told of a blue on blue incident where napalm was dropped on the unit that he was with.
He tried to drag a burning G.I. away by his boots, and the G.I.s skin just peeled off with his boots, the G.I. died two days later, the same day that his only child was born.

i think the film we were soldiers with mel gibson recreated that, looked absolutely horrifying, can't imagine witnessing that in real life

Really enjoyed the first episode of Loki, it's a shame that it's not one of the ones where they release the whole series in one go as I'd really like to binge it... I'm liking this trend of much higher quality superhero TV shows.

Kind of like the weekly format. Means everyone is mostly on the same page when watching the show instead of people who have couch potato'd the whole thing. :)

Yeah I'm actually enjoying the weekly format of the Disney+ shows after years of praising the Netflix format. It's been fun to discuss Wandavision etc on a weekly basis knowing everyone is at the same point.

I occasionally look up episode specific discussions on reddit for some shows when I'm really into them or just when I think there's a lot of cool references I might have missed and what to see some people breaking it down and stuff... but outside of that then I don't get into talking about shows enough to really be bothered if other people are behind/ahead of me...

Yeah, kind of a throw back to the old school days I guess when we only had 3(or 4 later) channels and it would be "Did you see InsertShowhere last night!"

Agree, first episode of Loki was really good, strong performances from Hiddleston and Wilson, good to see how the timeline links in to the MCU movies. I like the weekly format when I’ve got other things to watch and was good with the Falcon and the Winter Soldier series where something interesting happens every episode but was annoying with Wanda where there was a lot of filler in the early episodes.
I just wish it was more than 6 episodes though!

Used to annoy me as a kid when the folks with fancy TV would be talking about some cool new episode of Red Dwarf or something and ol' four channels over here would just be steaming.

Rewatching the This is England 86,88,90 mini-series’ So brilliant. Tragic and hilarious. 10/10.

It's led me to start Brassic with the actor who plays Woody in TIE. Only watched one episode so far but seems enjoyable.

The nipper has been enjoying The Mighty Ones, up there with decent comedy animation like SpongeBob type. 8/10

I've also been enjoying Close Enough on Netflix. Surreal animation 9/10
