Binged all of The Watcher, limited series on Netflix last night (bit tired now whoops :D). Based on a true story and really captivating, thought the acting was pretty good.

Nine Perfect Strangers - 7/10 (Amazon Prime).

Very good 8 episode limited series. Good actors and good story with small but subtle twists. Nicole Kidman steals every scene she is in. Great to binge over a weekend.

Reminds me of both Fantasy Island and Old. All have a similar setting, but the stories branch off in different ways.

Finished Midnight Club on Friday. As much as it pains me to say it, definitely Flanagans weakest effort yet. It's over stretched and painfully slow in places with weak scares and completely confused themes. Leaves you with a poor set up for a second season that I'm fairly sure Netflix won't grant seeing how few people seem to have watched it and how badly it's been received when compared to his other work.

Finished season 2 of The Capture just now.

Outstanding.
Yes, I picked up the recommendation earlier in the thread and watched both seasons, over the last few days. I am somewhat cynical about the BBC these days but they rarely do anything but excellent drama. Really enjoyed that one. Although it did make me think of Coupling every time I saw Ben Miles.

Halfway through watching the bear. Really wasn't expecting this to be my thing, but it's really excellent. About a gormet chef who is running a sandwich shop. Great characters and acting with an excellent sounds. Good stuff.

Just finished Yellowstone on Paramount plus (up to what's been released). Good modern day cowboy series about a ranch in Montana. Politics, sex, love, murder, family feuding and fights over land, with the Indians, developers and investment fund companies. Pretty well done. Kevin Costner is great in it, and Kelly Reilly as Beth Dutton is absolutely fantastic.

Now I've started 1883, which is kind of like a prequel to it, based in the 1800's. Another Dutton (The massive Yellowstone Ranch in the first modern day series is owned by the Dutton Family) and his family are trekking across America looking to start a new life. Surprisingly highly rated on IMDB, and it's good so far.

Difficult to watch at times, full of lots of tragedy as was standard back in the original wild west. Very well done though, Billy Bob Thornton has even just popped up in episode 2, which was pretty cool. Reminds me of my time playing Oregon Trail as a kid.

Binged Candy on disney+. Only five episodes but kept me interested and is well shot.

It's so weird to watch trailers for stuff like this with the Disney logo on it. It's going to take me a while to disassociate my connection of Disney with masterful cartoon movies over to true crime adult content.

Keen to see this just because of Jeremy Allen White. He was great in the early seasons of the US version of Shameless, even if they kind of ruin his character towards the end.

Really enjoyed The Bear. Can't see how season 2 is going to go. Should just leave it as it is imo.

Onto House of Dragon. I really want to love it as much as GOT but Ep 1 - boring. Ep 2 - boring. Ep 3 - excellent. Ep4 - decent. That's all I'm up to, end of in depth review.

Just finished The Bear, loved it, as an ex chef they really got the chaos and the stress levels to a t in it. have they green lit the 2nd season? wasnt keen on its ending as it left far too many questions to why/motives?! but happy to see where it goes.
Not a huge spoiler but i really dont get why anyone would host a bachelor party there?! it just came across as a plot device

also watched Watford, again a cracking series though felt a few to many episodes/dramatic at times but did show just how brutal the game/business can be! I'm not a football fan so had no idea how the season ended for them, that really helped kept the suspense up very well, looking forward to the next series!

Still going with the new quantum leap. But it's not catching me in a way where I want to watch the next episode asap.

Things just seem too easy for him, the comedy element is none existent, interaction between him and the hologram is wooden at best.

Plus it's confusing as hell with the guy / woman / it in the control room. Anyone worked out what he / she / it is yet. ???
