What TV shows are you currently watching

A Murder at the End of the World.
Watched Ep3. last night and the SciFi elements have kicked in!. Really enjoying it but have a soft spot for and pretty much like everything Brit Marling has co-written and also stars is in (still pang for a conclusion for The OA), both films and TV series.

Just watched the first episode of Manhunt on Apple TV. I would say it's aimed at an American audience unless you have an interest in Abraham Lincoln's assassination.
Been watching it. Quite slow but last night's episode perked up a bit. As much about post Civil War politics particularly under Johnson the regime was not, in fact, very well disposed to the blacks at all.

As for the rest, well despite the story being spiced up a bit we all know the outcome.
Booth gets shot by the posse and four of the conspirators including the guy he travelled with and Mrs Surratt, get their necks stretched at Fort Graham. Gruesome fact reading up at least two of them didn't get the correct drop and ended up strangling on the rope rather than having their necks broken. Eeesh).

I’d completely missed this, will have to give it a go. I’d pay a lot of money to get another season of The OA.

Watched the first episode of this last night.... Got me hooked. Deserves it own thread :)

12 Monkeys which can be found on itvx.

I'm really enjoying it second season more so.

It's a little like Zombie Nation in that you have to take everything for what it is, don't think about it too hard.

I've just finished the first season of Fargo, the TV series.

Loved it, great performances by all, especially Billy Bob Thornton as Lorne Malvo.
Quite possibly the best villain I've seen since Anton Chigurh from No Country for Old Men.

Been watching 'Fool Me Once' typical formulaic Harlan Coben adaptation, and typical of British drama in general. Housewives will love it (no disrespect - thinking of my Mum here). It gets a 6.8/10 imdm rating. I'd say it's worth around a 6.2 - As daft as the 'Night Agent' was on Netflix, this is a worse show. In terms of Coben adaptations, 'The Stranger' was better, and of course 'Safe'

Perhaps what annoys me most about this is not the over acting by Michelle Keegan, but the music they play over characters speaking. Typically, shows do this when the writing isn't good enough to convey the drama and tension of the scene. Pretty Little Liars, Manifest, and Blindspot are like that, to name but a few.

Perhaps if they'd have done at least the police work part of the show more like Devil's hour, it would have saved it.

American Rust series 2 (Amazon) starting Jeff Daniels.

Really good crime/thriller series but you really need to have seen season one as it follows on/continues the story.

Just started watching the Fallout series.

I’m enough of a nerd to notice the callbacks but not enough of one to care about which ones they decide to include or not.
