The old man is very good thus far.
Wasn't aware of it until about 2 minutes ago... but it's on the list now.The Old Man, 9/10 so far just awesome.
Looks good, will wait for the series to finish so I can binge watch my way throughThe Old Man, 9/10 so far just awesome.
Don't want to jump down the rabbit hole trying to work out what platform this is on (specifically as most sites state the US service which will in most cases differ from the UK) so is it on one of the below? The Old Man, 9/10 so far just awesome.
ThanksNews story I read says coming to Disney in UK.
FX on Hulu.Don't want to jump down the rabbit hole trying to work out what platform this is on (specifically as most sites state the US service which will in most cases differ from the UK) so is it on one of the below?
I get that but we have to somehow get round the problem that a certain proportion of media will be unwatchable (legally) to everyone that doesn't subscribe to every single service.I don't mind a lot of streaming services, competition is good and forces services to sort themselves out rather than just churning out rubbish content as they're the leader - Netflix i'm looking at you.
Good for quality, bad for our pockets as we’re subbed to everything going. Got Sky now, so dropped NowTV but also have Netflix, Disney+ and Prime. I’d drop Prime if it wasn’t just a freebie alongside prime delivery. Not subscribing to AppleTV+ though, not enough content.I don't mind a lot of streaming services, competition is good and forces services to sort themselves out rather than just churning out rubbish content as they're the leader - Netflix i'm looking at you.
Who would have the patience/organisations skills to stay on top of thatI guess i'm in a minority that I don't mind rotating services, happy to take a sub, keep occupied for a month, cancel and then move on. Netflix was cancelled last month, i'm moving Prime to a monthly sub when it ends next week - the only thing we'll have prepaid for the year is D+ and that's mainly for my son. I'll grab a cheap pass for NowTV next as it has a few bits we want to catch up on and believe Paramount+ is launching soon.
Totally agree, really boring show, not even particularly impressed by the film sets and the fight scenes are awful - I get that they were trying to show that some time has passed since Obi-Wan last held a light sabre but seriously it’s like watching Alec Guinness fight2 left in Kenobi, meh, totally by the numbers, only redeeming part is seeing Vader for some nostalgia.
Feels like a handful but in reality, quite easy to sort - however it's just me, my wife and 5 year old, D+ and YT takes care of him and me and my missus watch virtually all the same shows.Who would have the patience/organisations skills to stay on top of that![]()
A few years ago i'd have agreed but I just find most of it these days to be rinse repeat formulaic shows - I can only watch so many behind the scenes investigations into killers I never heard of until Netflix did a special (i'm being flippant of course)I have to say I think Netflix’s own content and its library are second to none.
Just don't think about it too hard, anything more than a cursory thought and a lot of the story telling is very ropey - I absolutely love it though, pure silly escapism and it looks utterly fantastic.Missus and I are about 1/2 way through Season 2 of Yellowstone which is excellent, I wasn't fussed about watching it but I'm glad I did. Kevin Costner is superb.
Movies I'd agree but Netflix have a lot of quality tv shows. My main gripe with Netflix these days is it's just adding content without any thought to quality, I posted a month or two back that I went through all the new releases one day and majority was rated low 2-4/10 on IMDB.
Netflix did...and still do occasionally make excellent TV, sadly it's the McDonalds of streaming services and more doesn't always equal better.
