Well I came across this picture.

And I was hoping someone could link me to whatever product is being used to give this amazing lighting effect. :)

Would really like this for my 800D instead of Cathodes. =]

Looks like some superbright LEDs. Be aware that not all LEDs are equal, which is why you're probably surprised :).

Yeah I know of Ultra/super bright LEDs. I have several dozen of them in different colours but I have yet to try Ultra bright SMD ones.

Was just interested because I've some in my draw waiting for some wiring up.

You seem to know your stuff how do you wire these things up? Are they molex connected and if how would it be possible to get one working off my PSU.

LED's and camera trickery. The LEDs won't look like that normally.

I've used it before, and it is that bright.

Here's just using the UV variant, so not as bright - But you can see how much light it gives out ;

It supplied in a continous length ( cut to size ).

You just solder a 12v pos and neg supply to it, i.e a molex.

My build here shows it ;

hey mrdbristol,

That looks amazing inside, Have you got the normal white leds on in the emermax fans as you still seem to get the uv effect on the cables?

when I use the enermax white led fans it seems to wash out my uv cathode effect?

hmm if that makes sense, can you offer any advice

cheers

he is just using a long shutter speed on tripod, nothing special - lets more light in thus looks brighter but in real life its not that much brighter than ones you've probably seen. You can tell this by looking at the led, if long shutter speed is used it shows like a glare effect - almost as if it has been put through photoshop. MRd's has some but didn't use as long shutter speed as the pic you posted.

They don't do Orange SMD led strips at phenoptix. Shame. Mind you other colours go for about £1+ per 5cm so if you want a long length the cost rises quickly.
