What version of Android are you currently on?

12 on Pixel 5 and Pixel 6.

Like 12 overall but can't fathom the stupidity of the new Internet quick settings tile.

I'm on MIUI Global 12.5.3 stable. Apparently I have an update pending for MIUI 12.5.5.0.RJKMIXM Stable.
Stupid question but I guess this is based on Android 12? I'm well out of the loop with phones. I bought this POCO F2 Pro in September 2020 and don't see me changing it for at least another year.

No issues with the phone or OS at all really. Phones and updates are so incremental now with minor changes that it becomes a non event now upgrading either.
I've just updated to 12.5.5 and that's on Android 11

Note 9 - sadly left behind on Android 10, would have loved to get 11 at least to get a newer version of One UI.

I went back to 11 on my pixel 5.

Tbh I found way too many changes for the worse 12. Changes that weren't needed, only take away but added nothing in some situations.

Can't see me updating to 13 as it'll likely be 12 but with tweaks.

Plus it's fugly!

Anyone know if there's a way to "downgrade" from Android 12 to 11?

My phone installed 12 over the weekend, well to be fair I let it do it but I wasn't expecting 12 to be trash compared to 11 lol.

Which phone, what's wrong and have you done a factory reset

I did the same thing, though it was when I was sent a repair phone, I just refused the update.

12 is horrible. 11 is where the cool people go.

I'm still on 11 but the gallery app I use...not Google Photos.....has just popped up with a message that it can no longer hide files due to Android 12 limitations.
Newer isn't necessarily better

Using QuickPic I can hide files on Android 12.

What app are you using?

I have downloaded this app (same issue as the above user) but I can't delete anything, doesn't give me the option.

Is this not an android 11 issue now? That the only app you can use is the Google made one?

I'm on the Pixel 6 pro and can hide folders and delete images with QuickPic

Android 12 on a Pixel 6, having just come from 11 on a Pixel 2.

Android 12 works fine and does its job, but it doesn't seem better than 11 for me (possibly worse in places) and it's not an especially attractive UI - preferred previous versions.
