What was your first bike?

My first bought bike was a Yamaha SR125 custom. Cost me £550. must have done 4 maybe 5000 miles on it. Loved that bike. Traded it in, in April.
Currently have a Yamaha Diversion 600cc. Love this bike too as she has been nothing but a dream ride. This one cost me £500, an absolute steal.
Will be upgrading to a Kawasaki ZL1000 when I move.

I had an RD125LC back in about 1990. Very quick bikes compared to modern 4 stroke 125's. Noisy with a k&n filter on too!

C90 Chicken chaser, stripped it & used it over the fields & still have a scar on my left palm from going over the bars & landing hands first into a chain link fence. I had a few more marks after going to hospital as it was how my Ma found out I had a bike.

Yeah, mine is noisy as hell, I came back from work one day, to find a coffee waiting on the side, and my dinner in the oven :D Has it's benefits I guess!

What performance gain would I see if I were to change the stock filter to an after-market one (such as said K&N?)
