First IBM compatible was a Tandy 1000SX. My Dad worked at Tandy for years so our house was filled with tech!
8088 CPU
640k RAM
Originally dual 360k 5.25" drives but went back to Tandy for a 720k 3.5" drive to be installed... reverted back to dual 5.25" drives in later years.
It was the family PC when I was young, my Dad passed it over to me when I was about 10. Still own it today... although the disks are starting to show their age and I might need to think about alternative boot media sooner rather than later. It originally shipped on MS-Dos 3 but ran 6.22 quite happily. No HiMEM though
From that, I went to a 486 DX2 66 which I upgraded over the years. Ended up as a DX4 100, 32MB RAM and a 3GB hard drive running Windows 3.1.
