What watch do you wear?

I don’t mind the Apple Watch (I have one) but for me they’re more of a fitness tracker first. I’ve stopped wearing it for now as it’s a distraction for me at work.

I was pretty much the same with my Garmin Fenix and fell into wearing it 24/7 for the last few years. Cracking piece of kit for what it does but no replacement for a "real" watch and will never win any awards for aesthetics.

My watch boxes have as a consequence remained pretty much unopened but have recently rediscovered them and loving the feeling wearing a watch again and swapping and changing them (sometimes several times a day)

Today (currently) it's

Does the off centred crown not annoy you? :p It's not down at 4 like on Turtles for example, instead it's at 3.5 which just looks aesthetically odd!

Interesting observation, my Hamilton if sat on a desk or in the box at room temp loses a couple seconds a day, but last few days been wearing it and it's been 0 to +1s. Never seen that kind of deviation before but I guess it makes sense.

Unlikely to be temperature related, that's just normal alteration based on the position(s) it's been regulated in. On your wrist it's moving and is at lots of different angles, whereas in the box it's only in one position.

Hmm I've no idea how many positions Hamilton adjust the H50 to but you are probably right, room temp is usually always around the 25 mark too so pretty cosy. By comparison the Sellita 215-1 has been consistently +3s a day with marginal differences regardless of being worn or not and that's adjusted to 5 positions by Sellita then adjusted again by Stowa to tighten the margin.

Oh man I hope Garmin come out with a super slim and discreet fitness tracker because I have not put a 'proper' watch on in months and now I can't take off my Garmin because of all of the lovely health tracking data I get every day. :)

Hopefully they will release some kind of slim band I can bung on my right wrist by the time I start going back to the office and once more dress up a little. :)

It's just not really a watch though is it? OK so it tells the time but then so does your mobile. I couldn't stomach having to charge my watch every day. My phone does everything an apple watch does so I just don't see the point in them.

Indeed. Like I said, it’s more a fitness tracker. I’m pretty lazy, and not into fitness, so I don’t really benefit much from it.

much prefer wearing my Oceanus/g-shock :)

Straight from the bowels of the Titanic :D

And this is why you never ever force patina a bronze watch. I just don't understand why people do it, totally ruins what should be a graceful process that requires time.

LOL...

"Only 1 issue is BEZEL DOES NOT TURN ANYMORE , ALL OTHER FUNCTIONS OF THE WATCH WORK GREAT , NOT WORN Often"

Thick as absolute mince. :D

I saw the link posted on TZUK ages ago yet it's still up for sale, wonder why nobody is snapping it right up....

Finally got the battery changed on one of my favourite watches. Picked this one up for £25 from Amazon. At that price I couldn’t resist it. Surprisingly (not!) it’s a lightweight watch and has a silicon strap with gold plastic bits on it but I think it looks great.
