What watch do you wear?

Christ! 170 for a material strap??? Either it's made of some obscure material by highly paid elves or watcmakers are making many hundreds of percent profit.

Its expensive but not when you concider the watch is just shy of 4k a £170 strap is nothing! Your right tho i rekon 50% of the price is the name on it. But thats 50% of the reason i wanted it :)

Anybody familiar with citizen Eco drives ?

Got myself a new one for Christmas. Was working fine when it was wrapped and went under the tree a few weeks ago but now it's got no juice and has stopped. Instructions say to put it under light and it should start working in 15 seconds. Only its been in sunlight for over an hour now and it's not even got enough juice to start moving. I must be missing something, any ideas ??

cheers guys.

I've read all the blurb but I was just worried by the fact it's still not even got enough juice to make it move yet.

I'll try the putting a torch up against it trick to help speed it up a bit.

This recent experience of mine has changed me in the sense that I feel I should be spoiling myself much more, I'm making a list & a Breitling is at the Top of it, The rectangle one with the Red & Blue stripe.i.e Steve McQueen style.

I really want a Grand Seiko.

I am finding it difficult to resist at the moment. Probably one with their 9F Quartz movement. My reasoning being I want a watch with minimal maintenance (Seiko claim 50 years outside of battery changes), with very high accuracy, with rarity and great build quality.

mmm.

Merry Christmas to me, I got this lovely Steinhart Ocean One Vintage DLC this morning. It's very nicely made, DLC seems very well done, the fit and finish are very good, comparable to my Kemmner really, same sort of price though, the saphire crystal dome is quite fantastic I think, I love it, the distortions you get through it are great, I also love the 'old radium' lume. Thumbs up from me so far. As for the longevity of the DLC ...time will tell, but from the reading I did, Steinhart's seems to be pretty solid, I expect the bracelet will show wear after a while though.

Some obligatory car shots ...naturally.

Very nice! I'd considered one of those to replace my stolen Ocean One Vintage Red, but went for the Ocean 1 Black in the end.

Now I just need to find a decent jewellers next week to remove a few links from the bracelet...

Isn't that the Tag Monaco?

I thought they were just small screws holding the links together on the Steinhart bracelets, you really shouldn't need to pay a jewellers to do it for you.

Just guessing but have you got the crown pushed fully in?

Yup checked the crown and it's at position zero which is all the way in.

It's still not got enough juice to do anything. The watch is stopped and it's not moving the hands when I do any of the procedures such as checking the charge level. It's completely dead.

But it was telling the correct time and working no problem when it came in the post from Amazon. I must be missing something but it's not moved all day and it's been in light since about 8am this morning and not moved an inch.

Gutted :( :(

If you stick the model number in the Citizen site it will give you instructions on how to reset it. I found the Eco Drive watch I had needed proper sunlight rather than sitting on a window ledge on a cloudy day.

I got an eco drive recently and after accidently pressing a button somehow, no idea which button, I had mine do the same kind of thing. The manual didn't really help so I tried holding in the lower button, A, for several seconds and everything went back to where it should be and working again.
