What watch do you wear?

Bounced my IWC last week after the clip came open when my shirt sleeve caught it. Hit the floor and now I have a stop watch that won't stop :( Got to take it in to IWC Bond Street to get it looked at. Found some new swear words the morning it happened.

Managed to get me some interest free credit on this bad boy.

there's a guy on this forum that's a superb watchmaker( lakitu ), message me if you want his contact info

I have been after one of these since they were first released, but i could never reconcile the extraordinary RRP, now €12,900 on the bracelet.

However the opportunity arose to trade my Omega GSOTM against an unworn example and i couldnt resist.

its not for everyone, the date register divides opinion, its reasonably large and the bracelet doesnt taper, but on the other side the dial is sublime, the bracelet is the finest i have experienced in terms of construction and finishing, the applied numerals and indices make it pop so much more than a 3777 and it has an in house fly back chrono movement,

excuse the shonky low light snaps :d

Dear ******
I talked again to our watchmaker. There is definitely no guarantee. It is a fall damage. The case should not be exchanged (80 €) the watch will not run perfectly.

I am getting rather sick of this, the communication and care from your aftersales/warranty for a company like yours is rather bad.

The watch has not had any "fall damage" at all, the crown became detached when changing the time.

The watchmaker should not be saying such things as it is untrue

I have had no watch to wear now since 19th august 2016, the fault is in the workmanship not the owner and I would expect a watch of this price to last longer than 5 months use

Please pass this on to your manager for escalation from a very unhappy customer for a better resolution than this.

Please note if I have to pay to have the watch repaired I will be leaving negative comments on your social media about aftersales service and quality/warranty of your product.

Oh how I wish I had bought an over the counter watch

You should already be posting on social media and finding as many email addresses as possible of their execs, PR departments etc... you're being a bit soft. Plus, call them.

How did you pay for the watch? CC, PayPal?

Why do so many people in this thread wear their watch so close to their hands? Surely it's annoying having the crown digging in, you're supposed to wear the watch behind the wrist bone (the sticky out bit) surely?

Erm, obviously because not everyone has the same shape hands with a clearly defined sticky out boney bit?

Mine is straight, and to stop it moving down to my hand I would have to have the watch on very tight, which is a complete no-no.
