What will this Run: System Given to me by Friend!

Hey Guys,

Hopefully this will be a quick one to answer.

Been given a bare-bones system by a friend with the following items:

CPU: AMD 64X2 3800+ ADA3800DAA5CD
RAM: Corsair XMS4400 550mhz 2GB (4 X 512)
Motherboard: Asus A8N32 - SLI DELUXE
Graphics 01: Nvidia Ge-force NX7900GTO 512 DDR3
Graphics 02: Nvidia Ge-force 7900GT 256 DDR3

A:What will a system of this spec run in today's games (If Any) Will this run games such as Team Fortress 2 / Left 4 Dead and Cod4/5 etc.

B: Can I run both the graphics cards listed above in SLi mode (The motherboard I have is SLi, I have the crossover patch lead thing to connect both cards and they will physically fit on the board)

C: What would be the best wattage of PSU for this system?

I have had to sell my main rig recently to fund a non-PC related project but will this get me back to being able to play the above mentioned games with a bit of TF2/L4D mapping. I know its nothing compared to modern systems but its a gift and as such I would like to be able to use it fully :cool:

a: yes but on low res & settings

b. not sure ask him ;/ they are the same card but do have different ram so no idea tbh

c. 500/600 watt psu
 
As PwnDirect said, Yes they will all play on low settings
As for linking them cards together,I don't think so m8,as one is a 256 and the other a 512.
And imo i'd go for Corsair TX 750W ATX SLI Compliant Power Supply (CMPSU-750TXUK)

U never know if u wanna add more into the comp,This way u will have ample amount of power :)
 
Why would your friend have two graphics cards on an SLI board if he was not SLI'ing them?

As for wattage needed for your PSU I guess it depends whether you are going to leave both those graphics cards in there.....
 
If it were me I'd head on over to uk.asus.com and find out how much RAM that board can take, I used to have one and have a feeling its 4GB which would be a good amount and allow you to run a lot of stuff.

Its ddr 1 so you would need to sell your frist born to get 4gb of decent ram for it :D

+ his cpu & gfx will bottleneck before 2gb of ram will
 
Thanks Guys, looking at building another gaming rig and there are some decent bundles in MM so may sell these for what I can get then go for another complete setup.
