Me and my friend both want to upgrade our PCs before the summer is out.... or begins. Now we were talking, what is better to go for, dual core or jump straight in for Quad core. I plan to overclock and he doesnt. The only things we need are the motherboard, Ram (I've always been a G.skill fan
) and obviously the CPU.
We were looking at the low end Q6600 is it? The energy saving one. Now, for a start what current intel boards are top rated for overclocking for around £100 ~ £130 and what G.Skill ram would compliment this, is there a main advantage for anything above PC6400?
Thanks in advance.
