What would happen if the US disappeared

The middle east would band together and try to take over Europe and the far east. Us and China would probably form an alliance and nuke most of the middle east (Israel would probably get a head start nuking Iran and Pakistan)

China would be on our side people Camps of Muslims keeps trying to cross the border and settle in the North and the Chinese police keeps opening a tin of whoopass and booting them back across the border

The Lobster People of Atlantis will rise from the ocean in their flying cities to subjugate and rules over us.

The Russians and Chinese will put up a valiant defence against the wouldbe overlords but will inevitably be crushed by the crustaceans with their advanced knowledge of particle death rays.

I don't get that either, must be ignorance based on some snippet they picked up. The Americans I've met seem honourable, polite, educated, open and friendly. The same on the TV(for whatever that counts).

I would love to live in the US.

I worked out there for 2 months in Texas and i can say a lot of the hate is unjust its a lovely place but it has its flaws.. as do we
 
The whole world would rejoice:D...scrap that the muslims would be definitely celebrating then thinking about who they could make out to be next big enemy of Islam:p

Same here, although Americans get a really bad press, every single one i have met so far have nothing but intelligent, friendly and a real pleasure know. I wouldn't move there but i have nothing against the country

Don't be so sure, they'll just target Europe because they have the same view of us as the they had for the Americans. We'll just become the new US for them, probably coupled with mass immigration because we're generally weaker than the US on both strength of Army and immigration policy.

Most of the Americans I met outside of the country have been open-minded, intelligent, friendly people... Unfortunately from my trips to New York, Miami, Chicago & Denver the majority of the Americans I met out there were Biased, rude, and quite the opposite of the few I've met else where... Put basically there are nice intelligent Americans but sadly form my experience and from what I hear from others the majority of them appear to be closed minded arrogant idiots!
 
I think it's safe to say this thread is specifically referring to the American government(s) and not the populace.

Though this is the type of question that you might talk about with your real life friends/colleagues for a five minutes before being told to shut up. I am really starting to suspect jsmoke needs to socialise more. With real people.

if you are talking about the landmass of the USA, then a HUGE drop in ocean levels :P
if its the US government, i doubt much would happen as the people would look towards the constitution and form a new government based on that and their modern view and interpretations of it

China invades Taiwan
Japan develops nuclear weapons
Russia annexes the Ukraine
Europe rearms
India and Pakistan go to war
Middle East full blown civil war
Africa goes hungry and disease more rampant
South America divides into feudal drug-lord kingdoms
Britain forms security pact with Australia, New Zealand and Canada.
WWIII begins

In time things would adjust and we'd get stability once more, but in the short to medium term it would be absolute chaos.
 
If the USA disappeared aka destroyed.... then I'd imagine we'd all be dealing with an entertaining amount of nuclear fallout. I'm sure that'd be fun.

Tell me it's different to Birmingham, London etc? The vast majority of the public are biased, arrogant plebs over here.
