If songs about gay love are done in a certain way, they can be equally as moving as any other song. A good example for me is 'Sigur Ros - Vidrar Vel Til Loftarasa', perhaps one of the most beautiful songs ever. If you're interested, watch the music video. It's awesome

scissor sisters and their songs about women are lesbian songs!

There are lesbians in the band as well. The very name of their band comes from a lesbian err....activity? lol

They were made famous by the New York queer scene and have a massive lesbian following AFAIK.

Also , in terms of career wise many bands have gained by targetting the gay audience; bands such as girls aloud, sugababes, kylie/Danni and madonna I'd say owe a lot to their gay following especially girls aloud! They know this by performing at venues such as G.A.Y (Astoria) regulary unannounced! Kylie did her first performance there a couple of months ago since her cancer...live with her sister Danni! luckily i was there lol

actually i really meant placebo in general, as opposed to specifically nancy boy. perhaps i should have given songs like "my sweet prince" and "burger queen" a mention instead...

I can agree with that, although I must adimt that their first album has an enduring place in my heart if only due to the amount of times I listened to it as a teenager

With all this nonsense on radio 1 this week over some scissor sistors gig, I am newly aware that there is in fact only 1 female in scissor sistors, Anna Matronic

And Mary was about a bloke as I said, now just to find a way to proove it, hehe.
