What would you buy with £4.5K?

Housemaster, your post started off badly, however, you redeemed yourself with the cheese, clearly the 4.5k should be spent on the finest boot load of french cheese and some wine to go with it!

With only 4.5k to spend i'd be tempted to avoid the more expensive to run cars.

1.8iS MX-5 or 172 clio are a good shout.

For the price of them over there.

1.5 k for an Mk1 MR2.

Then spend the other 3k on a paul woods(Woodsport) mk1.5 or mk1.6 Coversion:cool:

Great condition 325i E36
R33 Skyline GTT or GTST ( would have to strech a bit, but not too much)
R32 Skyline GTR ( would have to strech a bit, but not too much)
Lexus GS GS300
Lexus LS LS 400
Mercedes E-Klasse 2.0 E200 Sedan
1976 Cadillac Eldorado 8.2 Convertible

And many others but I cba to mention em all.

(edit, oh, didn't see your first post lol oops, I just replyed to the thread title, this is what I'd get for 4.5 k pounds.)

So Dairylea is not cool anymore then?

Thats not even cheese, when you have a problem differentiating the packaging from the contents you've purchased the wrong product ;)

but the 182 is only just around the financial corner...

Thats the main issue with the top end of the 172 market, however you would be getting a bottom of the market 182 instead!

for 10 k euro's ( so bout 6.5k pounds, so a bit streching the op's budget) you can get the GTR.)

Is that the case? Last time I looked a decent R32 GTR was still over 8k GBP here, one worth having, at least.......with mint or modified examples sometimes fetching up to 15k!

Guess it depends where you're looking though :)

you'll find that €10,000 is almost £8,000 with the current exchange rates. the pound has fallen dramatically against the euro recently

Chevette or Kadett C.
C20LET.
5-Speed Getrag.
LSD-shod Manta B axle.
15x8 front, 15x10 rear rims shod in decent rubber.
Arches to suit.
250bhp should do to start with.
