What would you do? A question of conscience.

Bought a PC from Comet many years ago, on the day they didnt have any printers in stock, so I left with the PC and was asked to come back a few days later for the printer.

When I did instead of giving me just the printer they gave me the whole PC again.

Only got one printer thou!:(

Honestly? Keep em for a while and then give em away to mates. At the end of the day the copy that you received addressed to someone else will be claimed off of the delivery company and then another copy sent out to him/her and the other copy will either have the same or be forgotten about. No one with out a massive yearly turnover will be getting stung by doing so.

Well, I would have kept them, but the other half - the one who paid for them - has a conscience. Actually, depends on what they say when theyget back to us, cause if they expect us to pay to return them, they can go to hell! :)

But I can see already thay all they are going to do is issue a refund, which means we'll get the money anyway, cause they are likely pretty stupid. I mean, getting one incorrect is understandable, but two???

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the guy who's copy we received, actually received a copy anyhow :)

Keep them.
I once got given a £50 note as change from a £20, looked at it and gave it straight back saying I think you've given me the wrong change.
Damn my honesty - how much beer that could have bought at i12 :(

I'd probably offer to return them at their expense, or tell them when it's available for collection. It's their mistake, they can make the effort to collect it if they want it, I shouldn't be out of pocket at all for it. Most companies probably wouldn't make that effort so you'd likely end up keeping them anyway.

Personally if it was me, I would keep my copy, I would then post the copy invoiced to someone else to them, and sell the third copy.

Happened to me once i got sent 2 copies of a DVD and rang them up explianing what happened and asking how to send it back, they insisted that only one had been sent and that if I had 2 they were both mine :)

I bought a pair of oven gloves for my mum from woolworths (where i worked) they were £5 per glove, the idiot scanned it as a pair. Even though i worked there i didnt mention it.. slightly bad yeah but they paid crap money so i deserved a little extra.

Not relevant but slightly in the same context.
