What would you do? A question of conscience.

I ordered a tshirt from a website using Google Checkout and got sent 2, but was only billed for 1.

Contacted the seller about the mistake (as I didn't fancy a double charge), and they sent me another tshirt and didn't bill me!!

Tbh if a company is that stupid and you try to correct their mistake then at least you know you tried to put it right.

this same thing happened when I ordered my original Xbox 1 + Forza.

The catalougue company sent two copies of the game but only charged for one. rang them up, they didn't wanna know about the 2nd copy :) flogged it on after that...but I did try returning it....

I bought a nice 40" Tv dvd+stand combo from a big retail outlet using my credit card.
They didn't have the dvd player in stock, but I agreed with the salesman that I would collect it the following week. There was also a little bit of confusion over the stand. The stores database showed no spare stock, but the salesman agreed I needed a stand, so let me have one from another customer order that was waiting for a Tv.
All this confusion meant the salesman filled out the reciept incorrectly, he signed the form as Tv to be collected, not the dvd player!

When I told the wife she laughed, and knew I wouldn't have the gall to walk in the store the following week and ask for another Tv.
The following week the whole company went in recievership and closed down.
After writing to the recievers and telling them I was missing out on my dvd player, I got no reply.
A month later I called my credit card company and they asked me to send them a copy of the reciept.
I went away on holiday, hammered the credit card and came back, finding the credit card statement waiting for me :(
I was in credit! A quick check of the pages showed the credit card company refunded the total order amount for the Tv package, as the order was not completed.
Result! Free Tv :D

I bought Operation flashpoint through a online retailer, took to long to get to me, bought it at a local supermarket, told the online retailer to cancel my order... too late, fair does, came through, I sent the game back and got a full refund (after a long debate due to not sending it recorded). The game turned up on my door step as undelivered, I had my money and 2 copies of the game, one for free.

Kept it and gave it in on the reading - wokingham toy run on sunday just gone :D

Bargain tbh.
