What would you do? (another ebay question, sorry)

If it goes wrong and PayPal decide in your favour, you may still not get your money back (happened to me on an FX53 cpu) unless it's done via credit card.

Sounds too good to be true; I wouldn't touch it but it's your call.

its bs mate, dont pay. ive had loads of scammers before telling me that its already at the depot so a photo couldnt be taken? why would it already be at the depot?? seriously you'll get ripped off even if you pay via paypal,

You said it yourself.

If it seems too good to be true.........

Walk away.

Here use this,

think about it: - if the phone is worth £240 why would he accpet £99?

i sold a phone on ebay and used my gf's account to bid up the item. ebay member won the phone and payed straight away. my gf was the second highest bidder. straight away she gets emails offering a second chance offer. claiming to be the seller! obviously he didnt know she was my gf so i thought id string him along. told him id take the phone but would like a pic of him with the phone and todays date. he replied he couldnt because the phone was comming direct. its all bs mate.

How'd he get your GF's email?

Contact bider/seller button I guess.

Edit; maybe he got it of adult friend finder, lol. This is a joke and should be taken with a large pinch of salt.

TBH 99% of us do it. If you dont then you should!

Do we?

I would never do it and see it as amounting to fraud. Put a reserve on if you're that frightened. I've sold iPods, phones and car stereos and never needed to bid it up. There's no need imo.

Well thats upto you, I just think the more bids on an item the more it atracts.

thats the crazy thing; the second chance offer was direct to her my messages inbox in here ebay account! couldnt figure out how he got it there and it was a properly formatted ebay email too. so it looked totally real, was in her messages, and if i wasnt the original seller then you would have had no reason not to believe it.

Just received this from the bay
