1) Ignore it and keep walking.

2) Phone the police and report it.

3) Pick it up and drop it off at the local police station.

4) Take it home and look at the contents on your Computer.

This was on reddit awhile back, Pretty sure that was the options.
 
I'd assume it didn't belong to a local person, technology such as that is only just reaching Whitchurch. I'd then try and put thoughts of access to A. N. Other's bank accounts and blackmail out of my head and walk on. The police station hasn't been manned in years and I've not seen a copper walking about for even longer.
 
defo don't plug it in, that's asking to get hacked, or it's accessing data without permission.
wouldn't waste my time with the police, they are useless.
probably either ignore, or bin it as with any other type of litter, and to protect noobs.

Take it into my workplace - nuclear fuel refinement - and plug it into my laptop. ?

actual employer , IT support would be automatically informed ... and I assume virus protection would obstruct any autoruns, or content viewing.
 
I see little LEDs every now and then on the road/pavement, think they're just disposable vapes that have been chucked away but so tempted to pick them up :p

Am I the only one that would pick up the laptop on the ground beside it too ?
 
sod it . shove it on ebay, say you found it outside of some military/government instalation and see how many journalists will pay big bucks for it.
