Pretty much. He loves her no matter what she does. He's totally overlooking all the faults just to be with her.... Such a shame. I mean, he's not much to look at, has no money and doesn't earn a lot but he has a great personality, good hearted and cares...

Tell me about… Its like I’m a magnet to it all. I just seem to attract total nutjobs. I think what my problem is that I try to keep all happy and sit on the fence, but before long you get knocked off the fence and you find yourself having to take sides…

To be honest, if I’m rid of her but lose a mate so be it. I can’t have some crazy bint saying tat like that across the dinner table, it was meant to be a friendly family and friends BBQ… It ended up with me, yet again on the back foot having to defend or take actions I’ve been avoiding… We all know she’s a crazy bint sadly bob will not do anything about it, and that in its self is tragic..

His problem is that he is putting the pussy on the pedestal. You are correct, if my Mrs said she wished she was going out with some random guy from her past and that she had his mum as a mother in law (in front of all of us), she'd be sacked.

He is obviously whipped/deluded. Just leave him be until he either snaps out of it or ruins his life and comes running. When he does, be there as a mate. In the meantime, explain to him why you are sacking them both off.

I have a good mate like this, with a woman that treats him dreadfully, slags him off whilst he's there, call's him repulsive etc etc all in front of him. We tell her to stfu and he goes off at us, you cant do anything love is blind, just be there when it implodes (which it will at some point).

As for her speech, I think I would have just laughed in her face, there and then whilst saying something like "there's not enough booze in this place"
