What would you do with £100,000,000?

Honestly I would give a fair bit of it to charity - and before people roll their eyes at me and say "yeah right" I genuinely would. You could easily live of the interest of even half, heck a 1/4 of that for the rest of your life.

I'd pay off any debts (fortunately there aren't many, student loan being the main one), give some to family and friends if they wanted/needed it. Buy property in London, France and New York. Buy a stupid car. A nice 57' sailing yacht, nothing much bigger and garish.

I would definitely keep working though or at least keep active somehow. However I might do some additional courses at uni or something extra educationally - I do enjoy learning. I'd travel the world a lot. Definitely do voluntary work around the world though - that would be really exciting and fun.

I'd try and remain as unaffected as possible (which would have course be difficult with such an obscene amount of money.)

split the money into 3 bank accounts ( just incase the bank goes bust)

give the interest of one of my accounts to family.

spend the interest of the other account.

keep the interest in the 3rd account.

You obviously have it planned! Good points though and with all seriousness I couldn't sleep knowing that a charity in the world could make a big difference with a bit of my £100,000,000.

Like your way of thinking my friend. :)

Even if you were to split only £30m between a dozen charities it would be a heck of a gift and may well help a great deal. I've lost so many close people to cancer and other such illnesses that even now (though I cannot really afford it) I put aside a bit of money every month to a few charities. I'm sure the cynics will come along and tell me that my money's not going anywhere or being put to good use - however having seen what some charity pools can cater for and bring to people's lives, I beg to differ. People are far too greedy - but I guess that's the world we live in unfortunately... looking after number 1 and all that.

Hmm, tough decision.

Think I'd have to go with 10,000,000,000 one penny sweets :D

Or, I'd buy a large swimming pool and fill it with milk and coco pops then go for a swim :D I've always wanted to do that...

Buy a large hotel and have the large penthouse as my flat, and the rest of the top floor as guest rooms for friends.
The hotel takes care of cooking, cleaning, laundry and washing up. That way I should always have an income, a full belly and a roof over my head, which is a good starting place if everything else goes pear-shaped.

Make all the usual allowances for friends, relatives, favourite charities, etc.

Travel the world and look for places that could use a good sized dollop of cash to solve a problem and help them out.

Hehe, I really should finish typing a post before making a snack. :)

Sounds like we have an idea in common there Will?

You could set your family up for life, buy yourself the house car and etc that you want, give a big fat lump to cancer research (my choice, i'm sure you've all got your own) and still invest enough to live comfortably off for life :)

Not quite enough to buy me a huge yacht is it? (definatly not enough to buy and run it anyway!) :( So i guess charity, travelling, etc...

I dunno, I could put you in touch with some corkers at around 30-60 million. You could probably just about run it off the interest from the rest... ;)

I would send e-mails to people under the pseudonym of Obafweni Bongi saying I have £100,000,000 stuck in my bank account and I will give you half if you send me $100 fee to release the money... Just to see how many people reply :p

or just buy normal stuff house, cars, presents for family, travelling etc. then a rugby club :p or small football club like Hartlepool or something.
