What would you uninvent?

Door stops.

All the doors, just flapping around and doing their thing and there's nothing humanity can do about it. Absolute carnage.

I had the misfortune of getting those as a substitution recently. Ate one, couldn’t believe how awful it was so had another one to make sure before binning the packet.
That's one more than I managed. The stench after opening the bag alone was off putting, but then the taste was the icing on the cake.

I hope you didn't buy a share size like me. The whole bag went into the bin, minus a whole crisp.

I came to this thread to say 'social media' but a lot of people have already beaten me to it.

I agree that influencers and religion can do one too.

Another one to add which I don't think yet have been mentioned is identity politics / pronouns / stepping on eggshells if you mis-gender someone by mistake. Like with religion, this has also become an indoctrine.

another insists that i should get an extractor fan for my bathroom, and to stop wasting money on dehumidifier tubs… dude, I have a walk in shower/wet room… I already have an extractor fan AND need dehumidifier tubs.

I guess everyone is guilty of giving unsolicited advice without knowing all the facts, just that social media gives them a voice.

Well that certainly puts getting rid of war and religion into perspective.

To make a superior present day, what of anything invented would you uninvent?

Abusive capitalism / tory party politics / pseudo "democracy" (i.e. we should have started off with the system we live under now with balances and checks in place, where there are limits on power & abuse from governments that have now got disgustingly out of control and no one can seemingly do anything about it)
