Gsync
ShadowPlay

WIth AMD now having GameDVR the need for Shadowplay is going to diminish. I suppose the same will happen with Gsync eventually when Freesync hits, but until then I'd like that. Nothing else really interests me at the moment.

Nvidia user here, I'd like to see their cards being priced similair to and offerings. Tech wise probably mantle as it works well in bf4 which is my favourite game.

As a AMD user i would like shadowplay and physx and Nvidia's reference cooler.(yes the new AMD recording app is getting there but still not there imo) EVGA Amd gpu's :)

As a Nvidia User i'd like cheaper prices, Mantle type api and a more unlocked bios so you dont need to fluff about flashing

Nothing but more fps so Mantle is all i want especially for Wow as it is notoriously cpu bound in cities and what is the point updating to 64bit,DX11 and a whole new performance based file format to ignore mantle?

I could see myself moving over if the 390X can come before October with maybe stacked ram or something. Because the TV i have my eye on will probably have or will have DP 1.2a so given that it is 4K i will probably really want something powerful and freesync. AMD could potentially be my swiss army knife compared to Nvidia because no TV is going to have g-sync and they still get the wrong color space for HDMI. Not to mention AMD have the choice of both DX 12 and Mantle.

I think they are going to need some really epic performance from Maxwell if i am to stay Nvidia as AMD are really closing the gap now. The only thing i dread about AMD though is coil whine and if it still has conflicts with Afterburner.

I own both, wanted to run them in the same machine to get everything, but Nvidia flat out block PhysX working while rendering everything through Nvidia gpu's, unblock it nvidia-I paid for the feature after all and you'd gain massive respect.

Either enable 3D vision kit to work on my sammy native 3D panel and/or let Tridef use full SBS on Nvidia too.

To both of them-collaborate and enhance gaming allowing each others feature support to drive PC gaming forward more.

I own both cards ATM and have bounced about since 3DFX died, ill sum up what I would like for both:

NVIDIA want list: Sapphire as an OEM (VaporX pls!), SLi to have as much card compatibility as CF.

AMD want list: Gsync, PhysX, OpenGL support, drivers.

BOTH: I would like to be able to use my GTX780 as a dedicated PhysX card while combined with my CF R290's :P

AMD here.
The ability to use streaming to my Android Phone to play games (Yes, it's not Nvidia who have done it, but it's because of Shield that Limelight works)

From AMD,

The build quality of nvidia cards.

Physx would be good too.

I was always under the impression that AMD reference boards are built like tanks (and having been burned by the Nvidia solder defects on their 8800GT and similar, I would never buy Nvidia again). AMD's reference cooler is not as good (quiet) as Nvidia's though.

I agree on Physx in that if it worked on all three vendors (inc. Intel), developers might actually use it for gameplay features not just eye-candy.

I've got a 8320 OC to 4.9ghz with a 7990 and a 3970x with SLI Titan black so there ain't much I'm missing :)

All I'd really want is for devs to finally start making use of every core a non server CPU has.

Hmm. Just had a think. OK, here's what I would like to see.

1. AMD to stop being tight and fully embrace 3D, and stop palming it off to a third party who are crap (Tridef). Whilst I realise 3D is pretty much dead in the water these days AMD could have actually made an effort. Come to think of it, if both companies had done what they ought to I wouldn't have two different brands !

2. Nvidia to embrace surround and make it as good as Eyefinity.

3. AMD to have been more honest about Crossfire, and not let people waste their money on something that didn't work properly for so long. I got burnt with two 5770s and only returned to the 7990 once it had flopped and had dropped in price. Even now? TBH I'm still not sold on Crossfire.

4. AMD to care as much about Crossfire as Nvidia care about SLI. I know people will disagree with me here, but as I said in post 3, I'm still not sold. I guess I'm still paranoid knowing that for many years AMD knew it was broken but did nothing to sort it out. That's naughty tbh.

5. Both teams to allow their cards to work with the other. So IE - buying a Nvidia card for Physx if your primary card is AMD. I don't understand why Nvidia block this as it just hurts sales. They would sell an awful lot more of their cheap mid range cards if they weren't so pedantic.

6. SLI to work on any lane. Nvidia block SLI on X4 lanes (AMD don't block Crossfire on X4 lanes !). I've hacked it and it made little difference to the overall picture. I don't get why Nvidia are so bloody snobby about it.

7. GPUs to have one unified driver, no matter who makes them. It could be done......

I have both and want nothing from either side. Despite all the bickering and fanboy crap that's on forums everywhere, it's the differences between both companies that is driving technology and gaming forward.

Collaboration and working together is only rubbish talk. It's the heat of competition that promotes innovation. The constant battle to get something new out the door that the other company has no answer for, and I am not talking about new cards, I am talking about new features like Gsync and Mantle etc. This is what drives companies forward.

It's a battle for supremacy out there between Nvidia and AMD. Sometimes, both companies resort to underhand tactics to get ahead, while it shouldn't be condoned, it's showing both companies are fighting tooth and nail to be the best.

I think it will be a disaster for gaming and technology if AMD and Nvidia ever start working together!! Their conflict inspires passion and passion is good.

For a start, think about how quiet the forums would be if Nvidia and AMD were working together? :p

Some good answers on here already, here is what I'd like to see.

Probably not a popular one, as most of us here are proficient enough to solve these issues when they crop up.

I would like AMD to sort out their driver installation so that I don't get loads of phone calls, and have to visit 5 family members and friends this weekend to go sort out the fact they have had issues updating to the newest AMD drivers. it might even make me stop recommending the AMD cards, as it saves me grief in the long run. I don't get any issues from the other members of the family and friends using Nvidia cards. So if AMD could get up to Nvidia levels of ease of use and reliability it would be great.

TrueAudio, this really has potential, being the latest idea to bring 3D audio to games, it would be nice for Nvidia to use it too.

Both sides to stop the petty PR digs that seem to have really got worse lately, with Huddy saying one thing then Lebaredian firing back with something else, some twitter nonsense thrown in for good measure. It does nothing to help the industry, it just fires us forum users up giving us all stuff to argue about.

Sapphire and EVGA respectively. Maybe Mantle would be nice - but mostly because then it would be cross-vendor and adoption would soar. If it was just *my* nVidia card that got it (by magic obviously), then I don't really care.

Slightly different spin on it but yeah I think its high time some form of TrueAudio and some form of PhysX was supported by both.
