yeah you should. But if you cant then its down to insurance dude. Only 22 and anything that can do 0-62 in under 7 secs is like asking for sponsors for a Jamaican bobsleigh team. If you catch ma drift.

You've redeemed yourself with that quote, you can be my friend now

If he enjoys it and thinks it looks better thats fine, imo it looks stupid

That's your opinion and you are entirely entitled to it. No matter how silly it is.

the only thing thats gonna happen on the outside is refit the centre caps once theyve been cleaned, tint the fronts, paint calipers. Maybes are coilovers, wind deflectors and maybe a JDM sticker on the back bottom left of rear window.

Not really, I was 22 when I got my 530i (6.6 to 60, manual before the Parkers Heros start) and a 540i (5.9 to 60) was only £50 more to insure.

Having an abundance of randy sailors must be good for the premiums then because I never got close to that on my 330ci, even with decent NCB and post code.

If you must tint the fronts I'd recommend lighter than the limit allows.

Mine are about as dark as the law allows on the fronts and it can be a nuisance with visability.

I beat a Golf TDi the other day on the motorway and he was trying

That's quite an achievment, have you received your medal yet ?

Hoenstly the tints look silly, otherwise it's not too bad. Just leave the thing alone and drive it. Stop pouring money down the drain and save up for your next car. You are 22 not 17 ;)

im keeping the car till it dies so thats why im spending money on it. Plus i love it to bits. So much fun to drive.

The tints on the fronts are gonna be 10% max cause i spoke to the local police and they said 15% are maximum so im doing less.

Until it dies ? That could be many years, and you honestly want to be driving a blacked out slammed yaris when you are 30+ ?

I still drive an old Sunny 1993 SR and it's a long way from dieing. I could quite easily go out and buy the next car I really want, but I don't need it at this time and won't get the use out of it. I have lived with my Sunny since 17 (now 24), and although she has been reliable and has a bit of poke, I really want something better.

You will want better, and trust me there are a lot better cars out there then some little 4-pot. Save monies as these mods won't do anything other than satisfy some aesthetic mod addiction :)

You will want to upgrade as the Yaris is not fast by any stretch.

i could supercharge or turbo it so just imagine 200hp in a car that weighs 935kg? I know that it would be fast.

I presume all your mods are declared? And surely 'charging it is gonna send your premiums through the roof anyway?

I think I'd prefer to get a faster / better driving car to be honest.

Problem with that is your still spending £££ on a small car to make it faster when buying something larger would do and insurance wouldn't be cheaper then would it?

Then you have to factor in other things like suspension upgrades, brakes, gearbox etc etc

It's not as simple as just adding a turbo charger!

I doubt you could simply slap on a turbo / ecu / injectors / intercooler / manifold / catback and get it to run double the power without melting a hole in one of the pistons / one of the conrods going / the bottom end giving out.

Even if you fit it yourself you're looking at 2k for the turbo setup minus the exhaust / intercooler and remap.

Otherwise £600 for some pistons and rods + £400 exhaust / £400 intercooler £500 map.

This is almost besides the point, adding more BHP through the standard gearbox / diff doesn't mean its going to drop the 0-60 by a huge amount, mid range power yes, vastly different 0-60 times no.
