well a friend who had a scooby raced one (rolla Compressor) on a drag and his scooby does 0-62 in 5secs and he said that it was very close race compared to a civic type r

I'm simply using the facts in that article.

You can see that things even out at 70mph and the Civic reaches 120Mph a whole 5 seconds quicker. The Civic is also faster through the gears.
 
well thats a lie, Civics do it a lot faster than that. Even just asked a friend whos been in one and said its like no more than 7secs.

Anyways this is going way off point will just have to find a vid of it
 
So even if the article is lying and showing the Civic to be slower than it really is, you are now starting to prove your own argument wrong. Lets not be silly, the Civic is faster, by a small margin.

Care to elaborate with some actual evidence and figures, or are you going to carry on with hearsay and videos.

Your mate clearly isn't a calibrated piece of timing equipment or a reliable test :)

To be honest with them mods you may get an extra 10hp but becuase you're removing the silencers and having a straight through, you'll be losing back pressure making you lose torque.

Think the best way would be a panal filter with the standard airbox, all the pros and none of the cons unless you get a BMC enclosed one. Also if you put a manifold and sports cat you'll need to get a custom map to get the best out of it.

Agreed.

I actually quite like both cars. I appreciate that a lot of people are of the opinon that you should never throw money at cars when you can use that money to put towards a faster/better one however I see no problem with it.
Why bother decorating and furnishing your 1 bed flat when in a few years you'll upgrade to a 2 bed semi? Then why bother fitting a new kitchen to that when in a few years you'll have a 3 bed detached?
Maybe people mod cos they want something that they can enjoy in the meantime and instead of putting £200 a month away towards that faster car they only put £100 away and spend the other £100 on mods so that they can enjoy their current car in the meantime.

In the last 6 months I've spent a reasonable amount on adding 19" wheels, remus exhaust and stereo which I could've saved towards a 911 but I quite like my car and want to enjoy it until I can justify the extra money required to own a proper Porsche.
 
nice one mate. At least someone who gets the point of things. And Vinny i wont loose back pressure cause its only the silencer part so should have the same affect as the standard exhaust. Also someone on the forum has done the mods i said apart from hes got a different back box and hes got 120hp hehehe
 
i has been silly since people wanted to taken the mic out of my car cause of what happened in the past. Anyways its dinner time now.
 
I kinda like both cars, the yaris looks individual, not overly chavvy, my preference would have been different colour wheels but cars are individual and its about what BD likes not me.

Not everyone can afford to run the best cars, have their own house, kids etc, but what they can do is enjoy what they have.

Good luck to you BD, enjoy the car, don't get all "my car pwned this" and you will get a little more respect I am sure.

PS. Post a pic once you have done the calipers yellow.
