What's going on with Folding@Home?

Evening chaps...whats happenned to folding news?
I need somewhere to display my mediocre folding tiffs :D
Go for it Mr Biffa sah i salute you, i'm no good with figures and what not so when are the oriental chappies due in town?
I could fold for a day or 2 on 3 x 295's if ya desperate and think it would be worth it, even though i risk being exhiled and sent to coventry if i do.:D
 
Evening Reaver, no not hiding anything just thought as team 10 were about to be invaded by a bunch of oriental gentlemen i would offer to fold, especially since i have no gpu tasks on 2 machines now.
The 295's are in the mail, hopefully the app info and details you kindly mailed will work for the 480 which i will try in a day or two when cache has run dry :)
 
Put those 295s away Mr TBag at my estimates I should be issuing a parp in the next month. EOC is telling me 3 months but my 24hr average will be rising 3 fold over what it currently is

Oi! I've told you before about folding! :mad: :p

I think it's simply a case of running one GPU client per GPU, but you'll need to run each client from within separate directories and will presumably need to assign different machine IDs to each of them.

I myself just made it into the top 50. It's all uphill from here!

WRT the i7. You're sure the WU wasn't delayed at any time for whatever reason? That can have quite an effect. What frame times? I'm away for a few days so can't look my points for that WU up atm. Also how many cores are you using? I get highest PPD from 7 cores, if I'm using the PC at all 8 cores can easily make it drop a few k/day.

Indeed, you'll need different directories and machine IDs. I also like -gpu 0/1/2 (depending on which gpu, obviously!) although it seems to get confused between my 8800GT and 9800GT from time to time. -forcegpu nvidia_g80 meant I didn't need to extend the Windows desktop for some time, but I've recently lost confidence in it. May not be necessary for XP though. Good luck :)
 
Ok noob demented reality check, how do i install it to 3 different directories, when i first open it i do see the option to set machine id but how do i knowits going to pick the right gpu 3 x 260. Its a pain i know but if someone would help me along on this i should only need to do it once and that should be it :o
