Yes, Indeed it does destroy half life 2.

Half life 1 on the other hand, Destroy most of the competition out there.

Half Life 2 is better than Far Cry imo, both great games though. If Far Cry hadn't been so crap towards the end then it would have been better.

I've still got high hopes for this game despite the delays,Stalker on the PC was also given up for dead by many but turned up eventually and although a patch or 2 was required,turned out to be a good and at times excellent game,imo anyway.

Got a feeling it will appear on the PC first, then 360 a few months later, judging that the original preview trailers was done with a quad core PC with SLI gfx cards. Still its an interesting game, more news at E3 i hope my PC needs something to do.
