I suggest you grab a dictionary and look up what a 'phobia' is.

Irrational and involuntary. It's annoying when I freak out about a spider and people are like "you're such a pussy, man up". We're all rationally aware that most spiders are completely harmless, but that's just it, a phobia is irrational. I guess people without arachnophobia simply can't grasp what it's like to be terrified of something for no rational reason whatsoever.

Man up!! They're just spiders. Nothing to be afraid of.

There are plenty of other things to be afraid of, like Super AIDS. Just one teaspoon of Super AIDS in your butt and you're dead in three years.

This thread has been the source of much amusement :D

However, like an earlier poster, I might have no issues with one or two spiders here or there, I'm not sure how I'd react to a large box of them escaping into my living room :D

Of course it's not the OP's picture.

Spiders are an odd subject for me, I dislike them but I don't know if I'm afraid of them, I would certainly rather not have to have any contact with them but I'm perfectly fine with disposing of them if they turn up without throwing a hissy fit.
