BB I notice on your bucket list is 'go go-karting'. Karting is great fun, I can absolutely see why you'd want to give it a go. But why is it on a list like this? Why not just... go? It's about 30 quid for 3 sessions! You could go one evening this week!

Like I said in my OP. This is also a list for me to refer to :)

In fact, I might try to go on the next OcUK one.

In alphabetical order too? Just for that extra challenge? :)

I can't tick many from your list off... bad times. But as Bitslice kind of eluded to I haven't had tens of thousands of spare pounds and lots of spare time to try.

Ticked:
Experience the birth of a child
Get a degree
Get married
Get on TV
Have children
Own a nice home
Road trip across a country
See a solar eclipse
Watch my favourite band live

Want to tick:
Go to America

I don't really think about it. Growing your own veg? Really?

Haha certainly not tackling them in any order! When I have something that goes on it, I sort alphabetically, so the order in which I thought of them doesn't have anything to do with it.

And hell yeah - some of the things are really simple and small. Bake my own bread for example. Always wanted to learn how to make a decent loaf of bread by hand, so I set out to do so, a great chef taught me a few tricks, and I'm content with my new knowledge! Growing veg has also been ticked off. Always something I wanted to do, so I did it. Not planning on continuing with it, but I can say, I've had a meal that I've grown/made myself

I only have one thing on mine...

1. Get the wife to go to work and earn some money so I can afford to have a bucket list.

Just my wage leaves everything paid for, with money going to my pension but no money going to savings we spend some for little holidays. Sure she does all the house work, but we have no kids, and she seems content with spending about 26k a year (her potential earnings based on her last job 3 years ago) being a house wife.

I've never made one, and I don't think there's anything I've ever thought of as something I really must do. I just sort of go about life, and interesting things happen. Hell, I only planned to go travelling, and ended up living here, managing a bar and a hostel and getting married :p Mind, I've done quite a few things on other peoples' lists, and am lucky in that respect. I'm not a great one for "extreme" sports, so none of those sorts of things would feature.

I do have goals and ideas, but not in the sense of a bucket list.

I've never written down a list of things that I wanted to do before I died.
But okay I'll give it a go:

Stuff that I've done that I shall retroactively ascribe as stuff that would have been on a bucket list had I thought of doing it:
Gotten into university
Moved out
Programmed a game
Been a mentor
Worked in a non-menial job
Did some charity work
Learned to play the guitar
Gotten into a local newspaper
Flew a glider (briefly)
Successfully manage a project (even though it was at university :p)

Stuff that is now on my bucket list and shall become canon as far as OcUK is concerned
Finish my degree (hopefully with a first!)
Be accreditted in a published research paper
Be heavily involved in a project that is "world leading" or "internationally excellent" or something similar.
Run a half marathon
Skydive
Visit Six Flags, Magic Mountain
Spend some time as an international bum
Do a segment on a radio show with a reach of more than 5000 people (online or otherwise)
Learn to play Scarified on the guitar
Learn a foreign language to a conversational level
Oh and I want my own business. It doesn't have to be successful but I want a go at it.

I don't think I could write a list as it would be too long, because there is always something new to achieve, get in to, explore etc.

I've accomplished quite a lot in my life which is especially exciting and surprising given what a colossal asshat I am. The one thing which stands out as being almost impossibly unobtainable - and therefore extremely attractive - is a small, trivial thing which features on my bucketlist, number one in a list of precisely one.

I really, truly, madly, deeply and passionately - I am weeping with frustration as I type this, dear diary - want to be Captain of the anime club.

I don't have a list, but maybe I should make one but I fear it would be too long and not realistic

I simply want to do as much as possible and travel as much as possible.

:D

I've never really thought about having a bucket list. I've had a few awesome experiences in my relatively short life that I will always remember fondly, but I suppose my aspirations have always been less about having an experience than achieving a goal of some sort. Five foot climbs, if you like.

Do you know what, this is a great thread. But I find a 'bucket list' kind of frightening as well. I am desperately thinking what I want to do in the future, and I can't think of anything to add :eek:

Reading through some of your' lists, there's a few things I have already done and I'm proud of my achievements. But for some reason, when I think about a list of 'future prospects' it scares the life out of me...
