That's what I'd like to do for things to undertake. I also have others, such as:

Bungee Jump - done
Sky dive - done
Heli ski
Ski touring
Swiss Dam bungee (golden eye one)
See each continent with the kids

But business wise I also set myself targets like:

Buy a business
Sell a business
Turnover >1mil a year
Build a house
Build a chalet

I think all achievable if you put your mind to it.

Not sure these are 'must do's' as i'd likely just leave myself disappointed, but some things that I'd absolutely love to do...

See the Northern Lights.
Travel more... would love to backpack/camp my way around parts of Europe especially.
Be involved in a motor race, even something a bit daft like the 2CV racing :p
Eat many more wonderful things I've yet to try.
3 peaks challenge, all in 24 hours would be a bonus too!
Go in a helicopter, being at the controls would be a bonus but jsut to go in one would be a good start :p
See more F1 races (especially Spa).
Own a nice home.
Own a small holding.

Some of my favourite things I've already done...

Went to Australia (would love to go back)
Went to Iceland (would love to go back)
Been to an F1 race (Australia)

Do you know what, this is a great thread. But I find a 'bucket list' kind of frightening as well. I am desperately thinking what I want to do in the future, and I can't think of anything to add :eek:

Reading through some of your' lists, there's a few things I have already done and I'm proud of my achievements. But for some reason, when I think about a list of 'future prospects' it scares the life out of me...

Probably because it's just another indicator of mortality.

Personally I don't really have bucket lists of stuff to do, more just an overarching desire to be successful. The goal posts of what constitutes that are every changing, and upon reflection I must keep them more tempered.

I found myself dismissing a lot of stuff that I have done, in the vain pursuit of something less tangible.

By my reckoning, I think there are people who haven't lived in different countries, have a lovely girlfriend, have done their degree/masters, got a fantastic graduate job, have a wonderful relationship with family etc who are happier than me, and that's worrying.

Do Route 66 on a motorbike

Are you going to take an approximate path instead? By my understanding the actual route doesn't exist any more and hasn't done for at least a couple of decades.

I don't have a bucket list as such but a couple of things I'd quite like to do:
  • Cycle up Mont Ventoux
  • Run a marathon
I'm sure there are other things but I'd have to have a think about them more.

Well yes as I wouldn't just ride down a road that no longer exist, the trip would be more for crossing the US, and seeeing the sights, than anything else

To do:

  • Finish cycling London-Shanghai
  • Cycle a 200km day in China on a touring bike
  • Cycle a 300km day on an unloaded bike in England
  • Cycle the Pamir Highway
  • Swim the Bosphorus
  • Climb Mt. Ararat
  • Visit all 7 continents
  • Sail the Atlantic
  • Walk across a country
  • Get my French and Russian to conversational levels
  • Make a proper go at learning Mandarin
  • Cycle LEJOG in a fast time (7 days or less)
  • Do the London-Istanbul bike race in a good time (Sub 3 weeks)
