Hi there,

I really need a job, but Im struggling as to the best way to find one!

I would like to work on the weekends, as its the only time Im free. I have a decent CV.

Any good places to apply? Websites? Tips?

Thanks!

Agencies. Dress up take a cv and have a talk. Do several in a day. And within a week you should have a job.

I find it really hard to find a job if your under 18

Although i've had a few jobs as soon as my mates turned 18 and applied for say Asda they got straight in

Provided you are 18 (University Student?) you should easily be able to get a job anywhere on the high street, also maybe a bar job in a student union bar if you are lucky.

If you are under much younger though... Try a Supermarket.

easy ones are supermarkets, high street shops. Data entry/office admin and manual labour.

Apart from the shops the rest is agency work.

Semester 1 of each year I work for the IT department at the university - and that seems to set me up for the rest of the year.... this year i'm thinking of getting a job in semester 2 too.

If I needed to get another job... I'd either go to work in a bar, call centre or head down to my local agencies suited up and have multiple interviews.

Type a generic C.V, head down to town and give all store managers your CV, personally. If you see a store and really want a position there, butter up that generic C.V specifically for that job, hand it in personally to the manager.

You'll have a call from a good few if they're hiring or looking for temps.

Nursing homes / elderly day care centres often needs temp, I work there as a casual, good pay and good working hours, win win for me :)

STOP being a student & get a real job.
That's a pretty suicidal thing to say seeing as there's a rather large number of students on this forum. :D

Does your university not have notice boards? I got a job that way. We also have a careers type fair at the start of the year.
