I just messed up the screen resolution and did that thing where you can change the size of the screen etc.

What's the default screen resolution so I can get it back to normal?

1280x800 here (laptop) 1280x1024 (secondary TFT)

how longs a piece of string?

Depends on your screen size and type (CRT or TFT) and gfx card.

It's really confusing cos the middle of the screen is just how i want it but the scroll bar on the right is about 1mm wide, and the clock in the bottom right is illegible its so small.

Naturally. If it was a real man, he would have gone blind from excessive use of his manhood.

I had a similar experience once, although I just waited for the illicit substances to wear off, and it fixed itself.

I think I need to play with this 'OSD' button. I've got an LG monitor, if any of you are using 1280x1024 with an LG Flatron 915FT, could you tell me what your 'OSD' settings are so I can put mine right?

It really depends what monitor you have more than what graphic card you have.

that doesnt sound right. i'm pretty sure that graphics cards will support up to a certain resolution, no matter if your monitor is 50ft wide
