What's the easiest way to clone a system HDD?

Hello,

I'm looking to swap my main c: with something faster.
Cant be doing with reloading windows etc tho.

Is there a way to simply transfer everything across to a new drive and just replace it?

If you have a Seagate or Maxtor HDD installed in your system, you could use either DiskWizard or MaxBlast which are both identical, and is basically Acronis True Image 10 with 1 or 2 minor features removed....otherwise you could try Clonezilla or HDClone... or a trial copy of ATI Home 11...

I'm thinking of doing this soon also. But do i need True Image 11 or would Migrate Easy 7 do?

I have seagate drives.
Maybe those free ones will work then.

Just used Acronis Migrate Easy no more than 5 minutes ago, talking to you live from my new hardrive now.. Could NOT have been any simpler if it had done it all automatically!

ive always used ghost along with my bootable bartpe usb hard drive, not had many issues using that.

Anyone used Paragon Hard Disk Manager at all? Got a free copy from a magazine laying around, not sure whether to use it to clone my two hdd's in Vista or buy Acronis True Image...

Any way to do this with 2.5" IDE notebook drives? I don't have a caddy for them just the laptop.
