Just wondering, about like minded cyclists, the longest distance you have ever cycled for sheer fun. Me, last summer with a mate around in/outside london, 87.5 miles. Spent £10 each on a hot 30 degree weather.

Do you use the Strava app to track your rides?

Also anyone here meet up and have organised cycles? If so, I'd love to have people to cycle with as far and exciting places :)

My longest ride was 100 miles back in July 2013, doing the Liverpool-Chester-Liverpool ride. I'm going to see if I can get organised and do it again next year.

I've done a couple of 80 milers this year and a few more 60s.

I did few casual 40-60 milers as well during the year, until my bike got stolen, getting new one on monday yay!! :D I'd love to do an organised ride, link me up details if you ever manage to do it!

125 miles last month was my longest one so far.

Trying to get at least over 70 miles each week on the weekend long ride but have done a lot of 80+ in the past few months.

Looking forward to the winter mileage, NOT.

Got visions of a mate now doing cicles of the car park for 5mins to get 200km on his cheapo GPS computer as we all packed up our bikes into the cars with 205km showing on the Garmin's. We didn't hound him with abuse as he done the car park circles at all, promise.

36 miles :o I only ever ride door to door non stop which limits me a bit. Got a few days off at the end of the month so I'm planning a longer 50 mile ride with a lunch stop!

Done the Dunwich Dynamo a couple of times which is 116 miles, but about 120 miles once you factor in getting lost near the end! Did it singlespeed the first time and fixed gear last time.
I did it in 2013 - my Garmin decided not to record the first 45km, which was disappointing. Also, because it took me so long to do the ride, there was nothing but ice cream left at the cafe on the beach, which I really wasn't in the mood for at the time. Fortunately the weather was excellent, and apart from a small section of closed road that forced us to dismount and carry our bikes up a bunch of stairs and across a narrow wooden bridge in the dark, the route was nice and easy.

Thinking back on it makes me want to do it again next year...

When we planned out route we added on 10 miles to make sure that didn't happen. Once we hit 200 and still had more to go everyone was cursing my name :p

I bet. I am tempted to do a proper double at some point, the long summer days would have been best but should still be doable with an early start if we get a windless day over the next few weeks... I think I'd rather start in the dark than finish.

I'd probably opt for that too to be honest. Navigating home in the dark whilst knackered wasn't fun.
