What's the longest distance you have ever cycled?

154 miles, probably never again unless absolutely necessary, although it was leisurely was just so long.

It just gets a bit dull after a while, need a big group to keep you entertained.

Just did an easy 48 mile cycle to uni and back today. Was difficult, the route from croydon to ealing broadway. Ended up on one motorway by accident xD Managed to do it there in under 2 hours just, back 1hr 45

Got a Strava link?

edit: Do you mean 2 hours to do the first 24 miles and then 1:45 to do the return trip? If so that makes more sense. I thought you were claiming >24mph moving speed for a moment :p

Ever? most in one single day would have been approx 80miles on a DH bike, up to glenshee and back, back when i was a young whippet, 02 Spesh Bighit DH with Monster T's, 24" x 3" gazzalodi tyres, it was horrendous, but i was young stupid, and it was my only bike at the time.
Did a big chunk of the west highland way this summer, must have been 60 odd miles, it was disgusting, the last section we did from Kinlochleven to fort william was the worst, the climb out of kinlochleven was disgusting, maybe just cause by that point i was hanging.

This section was part of my longest ride I posted earlier but the other direction - towards Tyndrum. There's a lot of bike carrying to be done there and I hated it as much as you did :p Had been pedalling for over 40 hours by that point and I was falling asleep on my bike.

I once rode 25 miles on a BMX. That was fun.

been there done that 25+ m,iles there and the same back, with a backpack containing sleeping bag, tent and enough supplies for a weekend. the ride ouyt was interesting to say the least, not the most comfortable ride.

I have a habit of doing long distances with inappropriate equipment...

I fully think we did it the wrong way round, i couldnt help but think when i was riding, that it wouldnt have been as bad going the other way, the climb out of glen nevis would have been rough but the descent in to kinloch leven and the devils staircase would have been a lot more enjoyable the other way round. Dont think i've ever been so happy to chuck my bike in the back of a van, went straight from the van to the maryburgh inn in Fort Willam highstreet for a well deserved sesh.

I think you're probably right. It was part of a big loop that I did, we started in Tyndrum then went up the WHW, did a loop around Assynt then back down the west coast, onto the WHW at Fort Augustus and back to Tyndrum again.
The WHW section felt harder on the way back, but I had 500 miles in my legs by that point so I suspect it was probably nicer that time.
