85 miles. Need to raise my game before June for when I do the 'C2C in a day' ride which is 153 miles with 14,000ft of climbing O_o
Time to start cycling down to Leek and back in preparation

I've been eyeing up 200 mile routes all afternoon thanks to this thread. Got a 25mi TT on Saturday but maybe next weekend...
Did a big chunk of the west highland way this summer, must have been 60 odd miles, it was disgusting, the last section we did from Kinlochleven to fort william was the worst, the climb out of kinlochleven was disgusting
I once rode 25 miles on a BMX. That was fun.
I fully think we did it the wrong way round, i couldnt help but think when i was riding, that it wouldnt have been as bad going the other way, the climb out of glen nevis would have been rough but the descent in to kinloch leven and the devils staircase would have been a lot more enjoyable the other way round. Dont think i've ever been so happy to chuck my bike in the back of a van, went straight from the van to the maryburgh inn in Fort Willam highstreet for a well deserved sesh. This section was part of my longest ride I posted earlier but the other direction - towards Tyndrum. There's a lot of bike carrying to be done there and I hated it as much as you did Had been pedalling for over 40 hours by that point and I was falling asleep on my bike.
