Havn't played any games in a couple of weeks (not actually sure how long its been) and have been suffering withdrawal symptoms for about a week now. Which got me thinking, what is the longest I have ever gone without playing computer games.

I've been playing since I was 4 and have played games more or less daily since (if anyone mentions my skill level I will... um ... do nothing :() Up until the last few weeks.

I may have had the odd week off during camping holidays and festivals but thats about it. I cant remember ever going more than 2 weeks without gaming before.


Edit: I must have gone a few weeks without gaming before the GameGear came out (first hand held) when I went on family holidays.
 
i have been playing games since i was 4 also.

first system was a atari 2600. loved it. :)
got into gaming ever since.... addicted you might add.

i play games everyday, and yes i would say withdrawl simptons aswell.
im without a pc at the moment, as my psu went,

and i miss it :(
im on my laptop, i could play games. but its not the same.

plus i think i get a xbox 360 2moro... and yep.. will put me in the red at the bank also. :(

but, im like a child... i want everything now.

around a week also, when i was on holiday in tenerife ;)
 
About a year.

This was probably about 2 years ago. My PS2 had broken and and I didn't have any money to replace it. I also didn't have a good enough pc to play any games on.
 
7 months about 2 years ago. There were simply too many better things to do than game. Nowadays I play about 3 hours a week and that's more than enough :)
 
I dont think I ever have since I got an Amiga 500+ for Christmas when I was 7! Never escaped it even when I went to Uni, probably spent more time playing Pro Evo and Mario Kart than doing anything else there! :p
 
The most without was probably a week and that was a long time ago, hand helds now solve the going on holiday problem. Oh and I have to game daily it is a very real addiction for me. :o
 
Probably a month for me when I was overseas on hols. Don't really miss gaming that much these days. It was the Internet I was missing. Just one or two days without it and I feel sick! :lol

Won't be taking the Xbox 360 or the HDTV with me to university as I doubt I'll have time to play them, so they'll be flogged nearer the time. I'll probably miss Halo 3, GTA:IV, Mass Effect, Condemned 2. Aaaagh. I'll be gutted. I'll get over it though, I'm sure.
