What's the longest you've gone without formatting?

I think it depends what you are doing with the machine. Installing/uninstalling a lot of stuff like a games machine or a development machine. Or a PC/Laptop thats just used for the same stuff for years.
 
Just over 2 years (Windows 7). I try to keep a clean system, installing/testing programs inside a VM so I don't end up with loads of junk left over from poorly written uninstallers.
 
I've got a laptop at home with Win 98 on, never formatted but not been used for a few years..
