1280x1024 (lcd) with a x1800xt
Fear still struggles if i max everything at this res. Although i think it's a problem with the game as it's like a loading pause when i turn into new areas or look at something i've not looked at before.

thats usually a problem with ya ram - but with 2gb that shouldnt be an issue.
I'd probably put it down to your cpu myself... but if you have everything on max - maybe fear still might cripple the gpu slightly?

1280x1024 on a new VX912 with a 7800GT Extreme. I've just changed from my trusty 19" LG CRT but I never gamed above that resolution anyway as I only just changed my graphics card from a 9800 Pro.

I'd put it down to F.E.A.R being a really crappy way of benchmarking graphics cards.. I like the game but I can't see any reason why it eats hardware so much.

Rather foolishly I went and did sli because I assumed that F.E.A.R was going to be the new level of gfx but it still hassles my setup whilst other new games such as COD2 and to an even greater extent farcry/quake4 get absolutely eaten by my gfx cards. My x850xtpe could do bf2 at 1920x1200 without much problem.

I'm still to hear a reasonable explaination as to why F.E.A.R seems so hard to cajole into a sensible framrate without hundreds and hundreds of pounds worth of gfx cards.

Rant over\

My screen (Iiyama Vision Master Pro 454) will do up to 2048x1536@75hz but I generally use 1600x1200@100hz as my 6800GT can still play most things at that resolution.

Generally run the 24"ers at 1920x1200@98hz
Can run them at 2304x1440@80hz

The 21"er I always run at 1600x1200@85hz

All 3 of the above are CRT's as I will go to TFT's when Satan iceskates to work...

1600x1200 Samsung SyncMaster 213T + a X1800XT

Play everyting at 1600x1200 no problems, usually with high levels of AA and AF.

A mate of mine works as an architect and gave me 4 of these "beasts".
I run

Dual 22" Mitsubishi Diamond Plus® 200 NF Flat Screen .24mm Dot Pitch 1880x1440

(soon to do pcie on asrock dual 939 to have 4 for a laugh)

1600X1200 is the max really.

I play most games at 1024 X 768/1280X1024
with 4x AA 4/8xAF @ 75hz
frame rates are at 38-60+
on my maze 4 6800gt overclocked
this suits me fine untill about 10 minutes ago when i bought a 7800gt :D

No.

The aim of the poll is to see what sort of resolutions people are limited to when gaming, given the current state of high-end graphics cards not really benefitting resolutions @ 1280 and under.

OK, so it's more a question of, "What resolution do you normally use for gaming?"? It's just that the thread title is rather misleading.

In that case my vote of 1600x1200 is inaccurate as on average I probably use 1280x960.
